PIRACY: INTER INDUSTRY 'E-PETITION'
ITF, ISF and ICS, in conjunction with a wide range of other
international shipping organisations, have launched an 'e-petition'
in order to highlight concerns about piracy off Somalia . The
internet address for the e-petition is www.endpiracypetition.org .
Members are requested to circulate this address, as widely
as possible, encouraging them to register with the
'e-petition'.
Information about the petition, and the various supporting
organisations, is contained in the attached press release from
Spyros M Polemis, ISF President.
Members' assistance is greatly appreciated in order to
help maintain awareness, amongst governments and the public, of the
great seriousness of the piracy issue.
