The Australian Electoral Commission yesterday declared the
results of a Protected Industrial Action Ballot for Port Kembla
Marine Pilots.

The Port Kembla Pilots, who are members and are being
represented by the AMOU, have been attempting for two years to
renew the existing enterprise agreement that concluded in April
2009.
The AMOU has offered to the Port Kembla Port Corporation to
have arbitrated the outstanding matters of salaries and performance
payments however the PKPC has placed impossible conditions in a
proposed Consent Arbitration Agreement.
