Dear Friends
Online piracy poll
The November 2011 Seafarers' Section Committee agreed that the
ITF should conduct a poll amongst seafarers to assess their
attitudes to piracy and a small working group was set up to
finalise the survey text. The poll will be undertaken using
web based software and will be open until 31 March 2012.
In order to facilitate seafarers with completing the poll it has
already been translated into a number of key languages by the
concerned ITF affiliated seafarers' unions, this should mean that
it will be easier for seafarers from the most heavily impacted
countries to participate. The websites can be accessed at:
English - http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/57Q9PXN
Bahasa (Indonesia) - http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/5MZG37B
Korean - http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/MZWMJ8G
Russian - http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/GRLJ3QT
It may be possible to translate the survey into additional
languages if it means that response levels will be significantly
affected.
Please ensure that your members are aware of this initiative and
strongly urge them to participate in the survey.
Yours fraternally
